Dealing with lines for Gettysburg restaurants

Gettysburg  restaurants were hopping on Saturday night 10/9/21 at 7PM . My cohorts wanted to go to the Blue-Gray bar but it was a 90- minute wait, and while I was pondering the history of the defunct Blue-Gray Bowl football game, a kind lady standing on the sidewalk suggested we try a back alley lounge connected to an Italian restaurant a block away. We found the place, walked by the lines down a narrow alleyway for about a minute, and turned a corner to the left  and heard a bouncer state, "don't be scared , we're friendly."
We entered the lounge, walked up to the bar and asked for menus to the joint upstairs and received menus, fast service, and decent food. Mamma Ventura Restaurant & Lounge is the name of the establishment.
The next night we didn't have to wait for some bar grub at the Blue-Gray.

On the way home to Baltimore from Gettysburg we took a detour and visited the Seton Shrine in Emmitsburg, Md. The grotto was closed for on-going construction, but the Visitors center and museum were open. The museum was small but filled with a lot of items and data.   While looking at  a sketch of Seton's trek from Paca St in Baltimore to Emmitsburg, two Maryland town names caught my attention, Delight and Frizzellburg.

Eisenhower Farm site was closed during our November visit. Located adjacent to the Gettysburg Battlefield, the farm served President Eisenhower as a weekend retreat and a meeting place for world leaders. Maybe a current version of Ike, if he's out there,  is an answer to our Presidential woes?

Why should the Robert E Lee Statue remain standing in Gettysburg? It's integral to telling the story of what happened there in July 1863.
