The NBA's rulebook requires players to stand during the national anthem, but Silver has declined to enforce that rule, and Mark Cuban, the Dallas Mavericks owner, has taken that opening and halted the playing of the anthem at Dallas home games. Perhaps Silver and Cuban will raise the flag of Mainland China next.

Blue Jays will return to Toronto for a July 30th game against KC after receiving a National Interest Exemption from the Canadian government, allowing the team to enter the country without having to adhere to the country's Covid-19 travel restrictions. It's their first game there since September 29, 2019. Just have to laugh! Maybe they thought the team was starting to dig Buffalo?

Zoe Rosenburg, 19, had a chain and attached herself to the back of the basket near to the Timberwolves' bench at Memphis Fed Ex arena prior to the start of the MEM/MINN game. Security personnel removed the chain from around her neck, and she's was later arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing. There have been animal rights' protests at TWolves' games this season because one of their co-owners also owns factory farms.

Brittany Griner, the 6-foot-nine-inch center for the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, who also has played off-season hoops in Russia, was busted for possession of cannabis-infused vaporizer cartridges a few months ago. I guess if you live long enough: The Baltimore Bullets(now Wizards) franchise of my youth. will be in playing Alexandria VA by 2028. NHL’s Washington Capitals and NBA’s Washington Wizards are moving out of DC and into a new $2 billion "world-class" entertainment complex that will be built in Alexandria, Virgnia.
Abe Pollin started this move gradually 50+ years ago.
