He's pushing lasting peace on ethnically divided Cyprus is through the international community’s acceptance of two separate states which the EU opposes. Also, Greek Cypriots object to Turkey's demand for a permanent military presence on the island because it would likely turn the island into Ankara's “protectorate".
Next he expects the USA to meet "conditions" which include financial, logistical, and diplomatic support, so that Turkey can run and guard Kabul's airport while other foreign troops leave Afghanistan.
