Since removing statues is all the rage, Russia and Czechoslovakia are in a tit for tat game of expelling diplomats that can be traced back to the removal in March, 2020 of a statue of Russian General Konev ,who helped to liberate Czech Republic from the Nazis in 1945, but also led the Russian invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968. The statue was put in storage and may later be placed in a museum. Maybe the Czechs should give the statue back to Russia, its ruler from 1948-1990.

 What if the Congress in #Peru won't go home? Peru President #MartinVizcarra has dissolved the opposition-controlled Congress whose response was to to suspend him. In order for Vizcarra to dissolve Congress, the lawmakers have to reject two votes of confidence and they've rejected one.

What if cancel culture or blacklisting reared its ugly head again? #thomasspence of Regnery Publishing on why he chose to publish Josh Hawley's book : "dissent from the latest version of progressive orthodoxy is equated with violence and treason, my colleagues and I know we could be next".

 Maybe Hawley's book flops, maybe it soars, but I'm all for slowing down the “No Book Deals for Traitors,” knee-jerk train, particularly because it doesn't have the adjective alleged in front of  the noun traitors.
